Kingfield Stadium, currently known as The Laithwaite Community Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is the home of Woking F.C. in the Kingfield area of Woking, Surrey. It has a capacity of approximately 6,000, of which 2,500 are seated on grandstands.

The stadium was opened on 5 June 1922 and has been Woking’s home ground ever since. It is a traditional football stadium with a mix of terracing and stands. The main stand, known as the Laithwaite Grandstand, is located on the west side of the ground and has seating for around 1,500 fans. The other three stands are mainly terracing.

Kingfield Stadium is known for its friendly atmosphere and passionate fans. It has hosted a number of high-profile matches over the years, including FA Cup ties against Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool.

The stadium is located about a mile from Woking Railway Station and is well signposted. There is also a number of bus stops close by.

How to get to the Kingfield Stadium, Woking football ground

By car

The Kingfield Stadium is located on the A247 Kingfield Road, about a mile from Woking town centre. To get to the stadium by car, take the M25 to junction 10 and follow the signs for Woking. Once in Woking, turn right onto the A247 Kingfield Road and the stadium will be on your right.

By public transportation

The nearest train station to the Kingfield Stadium is Woking Railway Station. The station is served by trains from London Waterloo, with a journey time of about 28 minutes. Once at the station, you can walk to the stadium in about 20 minutes. Alternatively, you can take the bus number 34, 456, or 462 to the Leisure Centre, Kingfield stop. The bus stop is right next to the stadium.

  1. Take the train from London Waterloo to Woking Railway Station.
  2. Exit the station on the opposite side of the station to the town (Station Approach/Oriental Road side).
  3. Turn right down Station Approach and at the bottom, turn left onto Claremont Road (the A320).
  4. At the end of Claremont Road turn left on Kingfield Road and the ground is over the road on your right.
